The LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket is very well made. The parts are smooth and sturdy. There aren't any rough or sharp objects. There are not any choking hazards! The colors are vibrant and pretty. There are a lot of learning activities included in this unique toy. I was very surprised at how quickly my granddaughter understood to put the food pieces in the shape indentions on the plate. There is also color sorting activities, that she will grow into. This is why this toy covers a wide range of ages.
UPDATE 6/26/12:
I added a star for overall and fun. I left the basket out in my daughter's room and she will now sit and play with it for 5 or 10 minutes, usually every day. She mostly likes to take out the "food" and try to eat it. She also likes to carry the plates around and make a plate "sandwich" that she likes to chew on. Sometimes she will give me a cup to pretend to drink out of. I think that she will enjoy this more and more as she gets older. Potsy is still her favorite though.
UPDATE 4/23/13:
I added another star for overall and two for fun. My daughter is now two and plays with this much more now that she is starting to pretend play. I think it is better suited for this age group.
UPDATE 10/02/14:
My daughter is now 3.5 years old and still plays with this toy every day after she gets up from her nap. A solid choice for ages 2 and up!

Pros:
1. High quality and strong plastics used its even resisted the damage done by seller (more on this below cons.)
2. Excellent thoughtful design no rough or sharp edges to be noticed anywhere and very colorful.
3. The audio quality is amazing voices are so clear and much clearer than Fisher-Price toys, audio volume has two level normal and high and two modes voice mode and musical mode.
4. Uses 3 AA batteries only.
Cons:
1. Paint job could be better but not a huge concern but its not quite there up the level.
2. Not a con related to the product but the seller cloudtail's packaging one of the worst packaging i've seen from a seller the entire retail box was squashed and damaged but surprisingly the product inside survived the damage and everything was intact which itself shows the quality of the plastics used on this toy. Great job from Leapfrog and worst job from Amazon's cloudtail. (I believe Primeday deals caused such rushed up packing and delivery but thats not a valid excuse from a huge global firm like Amazon and it shouldn't be) A simple cardboard box could've done the work.
